ELK NATIONAL HOOP SHOOT FREE THROW CONTEST – The annual contest will be held at the Tawas High School Gymnasium on Saturday, November 8th from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Informational forms are available in the Jr. High office.
TOYS FOR TOTS APPLICATIONS are available in the Junior High office. They are due by Monday, November 10th between 10:00am – 7:00 pm. THE FORMS MUST BE RETURNED DIRECTLY TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT OR THE HUMAN SERVICES OFFICE.
THE 7TH GRADE BOYS’ BASKETBALL TEAM defeated the Rose City Wolves 36-17. Great team defense and pressure were the key to this victory.
THE 8TH GRADE BOYS’ BASKETBALL TEAM trailed early, staged a ferocious rally, but came out on the short end of a 46-38 score against Rose City last night. Eight out of ten players for the Braves scored last night and all ten players hustled on defense to bring the Braves back.

· 2008 TAWAS AREA FOOTBALL PLAYOFF APPAREL IS IN. The cost is $10 for short sleeve t-shirts and $30 for hooded sweatshirts. Clothing may be purchased from Coach Webb before school, during lunch, and immediately after school. Sizes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis!
